Chamber Advocacy Day Recap
The Arizona Chamber Executives held their annual ACE Advocacy Day on February 23rd . The Capitol had a busy week of activity, but Senate President Warren Petersen and Senator Minority Assistant Leader Mitzi Epstein were able to join us. As many are aware, the legislative session is long from being over with major policy issues still being discussed and finding a path forward on the budget. There will be continued discussions in the weeks to come in order for the legislature to produce tangible results for Arizona.
We appreciate the insight that lobbyists Michael Haener of Willetta Partners and Jaime Molera of Molera Alverez Public Affairs gave to us on the day-to-day workings at the capitol. They acknowledged that navigating the new political landscape is a challenge, but it can and will be done at the end of the day.
As we all know, our friends at the U.S. Chamber have their own ship to navigate through the federal government process, but we thank Ed and Jennings for joining our advocacy day in person and for Ed's thoughtful insight. They are a fantastic resource to our efforts.
A special shout out goes to Governor Katie Hobbs and Attorney General Kris Mayes for being able to speak to our members and acknowledge the important work we are all doing.
As always, we appreciate everyone’s participation in this annual event. Many of us are working away in our respective Arizona regions to have boots on the ground for a variety of issues that affect us differently. The Greater Phoenix Chamber aims to make this day valuable to all ACE members that participate. We hope that everyone enjoyed our robust agenda and gained additional insight to how the legislative session is progressing and issues that we are championing for chambers across the state.
